Goal: Objectively Review the Bose 321 GS Series II
This report is an attempt to correctly detail, in an unbiased manner, the various functions of the Bose 321 GS Home Entertainment Theater. How this system stacks up against others on the market has been the topic of recent debate, so I decided to define for myself what precisely this system has to offer. What I learned about the Bose 321 GS is noted here, for your consideration.
Findings
The first thing that comes to mind while checking out the Bose 321 GS System is that the offerings of this home entertainment center are far superior to earlier models. First of all, the Bose 321 GS System offers a progressive-scan DVD home entertainment center which has more visceral power, offers broader media and flexibility, with a less noticeable speaker set. It is half the size of the prior grouping and it works in alignment with the system’s TrueSpace surround system, which allows for multichannel presentation from the two speakers.
The next things to pop onto the radar are the new technologies being utilized by the DVD/CD media center within the Bose 321 GS home entertainment center. The Bose 321 GS utilizes NTSC and PAL video formats and is capable of playing:
- DVD-Video movies
- MP3 files
- Pre-recorded CD-R and CD-RW discs
- And, of course, CD-based music.
Random and repeat settings, track scanning and DVD parental controls are a few of the features offered by the Bose 321 GS home theater. Using double the scan lines of a regular DVD to create its depiction, the Bose 321 GS delivers a sharper depiction with higher resolution.
The decoding circuitry of straight digital technology is surpassed by Proprietary Videostage 5. The lowest hearable notes and effects are newly available on the Bose 321 GS home theater, courtesy of the Bose Acoustimass module, containing two downward-firing drivers.
Bottom Line
The Bose 321 GS System, from my experience, offers some fantastic new features, and expounds upon the old to provide you with the best sound experience. I hardily recommend this system. It’s a great unit for anyone who regularly listens to music or watches movies or tv.
