Is the Bose 321 GS Series II For You?
It you require a top of the line home theater system capable of filling massive spaces, pass on this one. If, however, you want a decent system, with pretty good features, you may want to give the Bose 321 GS a second look. This is especially true if you live in a smallish house or apartment, or den if the system is for you den, office, family room or “man-cave”.
Becoming a Convert
I have to be honest and tell you that I was not very much into the idea of a home theater system initially. It just hadn’t even cracked the top 10 on my “want list.” It did, however, cover items 1-5 on my dear hubby’s list:-) Finally he convinced me to give it a go.
Space Considerations
We have large furniture and display pieces in our living room, and I couldn’t see where a home theater system would even fit! But I was determined to try and prepare a place for it. In the end, all I had to do was move a couple of books, and voila!
Benefits
I soon discovered that I could tune in several channels on the Bose 321 GS and enjoy music while working about the house. What a nice treat! I like golden oldies, and, with the Bose 321 GS, they are constantly right there for me.
Think about what you genuinely need in a home theater system. Don’t just go out and pay a high price based on looks or some salesman telling you it’s the latest and greatest.
Here are some of the features:
- 2 speakers
- a subwoofer
- an AM/FM tuner box
- a DVD/CD player
- 1080p upscaling for videos
- an easy cable set up
- Stands and brackets for mounting are available, but not included
- Ceiling brackets for mounting are also available, but not included
My Advice
The sea of systems on the market can be mind-boggling, but the Bose 321 GS has been a good choice for our family. It’s a keeper, and I’m glad we settled on this one.
I won’t kid you. It’s pricey. But electronics prices are going down all the time. If you are budget conscious, you may want to consider a refurbished unit.
